Omas – Ercolessi N°24/1921

Ercolessi is one of the most renowned Italian pen shops. Based in Milan, all through their history, they sold pens. They created their own brand E.E.Ercolessi, which was mostly made by OMAS. This pen was launched by OMAS to celebrate the Ercolessi jubilee in 1996. The design follows one of Omas´ first pens made as a safetyfiller pen with their classic late twenties cylindric design and the balltype clip.

The OMAS company was founded in 1925 by Armando Simoni and was shut down in 2016.

OMAS writing instruments have always stood out for their exclusive design, devised and created by OMAS entirely in Bologna’s workshop, bringing out the best of the typical characteristics of the Made in Italy style and representing a benchmark of Italian excellence and creativity in the Fountain Pen sector.

All OMAS pens have been handcrafted, in Bologna’s workshop.
Each writing instrument is the result of a multitude of delicate manual operations: it can take more than 100 stages to produce a Celluloid Fountain Pen.

In the last years of activity, Omas gradually decreased the production of writing instruments to further improve their quality.

With every one of these majestic pen lies a piece of Italian history.
